Course outline

Graduates can turn their passion for music and science into a unique career with this dual program. They will develop their creative practice as a musician and gain the theoretical knowledge needed for a career performing, composing or researching music. The music component foregrounds practical music-making with individual lessons, a wide variety of ensembles, instrument and voice workshops and masterclasses with internationally acclaimed visiting artists. The science component develops skills in communication, problem- solving, critical thinking and scientific technical skills. Students can choose majors that complement their music studies or broaden their knowledge in other scientific fields. They can select their science studies from one of the broadest choices of science disciplines in Australia.
